Position Overview:

The Accounting/Controller Team Leader is primarily focused on leading Accounting, Cash Management, oversight and administration of ERP system and overseeing Human Resource Service. Solid financial and accounting skills will be utilized along with a service mindset willing to assist Operations, Project Management and Estimating to detect waste and optimize results.

Who are you:

Knowledge and experience with Accounting, Financial Reporting and Cash Management functions. Experience that includes a broad range of Accounting and Finance leadership roles within Commercial Construction. Residential construction or project-based business knowledge would be beneficial for this role. Qualities should include attention to details, pride in your work, management skills, follow through and the ability to work within a team.


  • 5+ years experience as Controller, Finance Director, Accounting Manager.
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Extensive skills in project accounting and preparation of monthly WIP Reporting.
  • Familiar with monthly closing and timely preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Manage Cash Flow and work with Lenders as necessary to assure adequate financial resources.
  • Proven skills in implementation and administration of Project-Based ERP software strongly preferred.
  • Superior communication skills to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Positive attitude, team-player and strong aptitude to learn and grow.


  • Member of Leadership Team
  • Lead Accounting and Finance Function; manage accounting staff and coordinate with outsourced HR services.
  • Manage relationship with ERP provider to improve utility of diagnostics and reporting.
  • Prepare Annual Plan, analyze variances, recommend corrective action and forecast future results.
  • Support Operations, Project Management and Estimating with reliable data and tools to improve operational and financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate internal financial and operational controls.
  • Maintains security and organization of company and employee data.
  • Coordinate with external CPA as necessary.
